Stew Ingredients
- 2 lbs Beef Chuck cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 large Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 4 cups Beef Broth
- 2 cups Carrots sliced
- 2 cups Potatoes diced
- 2 tablespoon Tomato Paste
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
- 1 teaspoon Rosemary dried
Dumpling Ingredients
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 4 tablespoon Butter melted
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides.
Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until onions are translucent.
Stir in tomato paste, beef broth, carrots, potatoes, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 hours.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
Drop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture onto the simmering stew. Cover and cook for another 20 minutes.
Serve hot and enjoy!
