- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup beer
- 1 lb white fish fillets cut into pieces
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- for frying vegetable oil
1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
2. Gradually add the beer, whisking until smooth.
3. Season the fish fillets with salt and pepper.
4. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
5. Dip the fish fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
6. Fry the fish in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.
