Main Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon fillet
- 0.25 cup kosher salt
- 0.25 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dill optional
Mix salt, sugar, and pepper in a bowl.
Rub mixture all over the salmon.
Place salmon on a rack, cover, and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.
Rinse salmon under cold water and pat dry.
Preheat smoker to 225°F.
Smoke salmon for 2 hours or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
