Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Lamb shoulder, cut into chunks
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 large Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 cups Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 1 cup Beef broth
  • 2 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add lamb chunks and brown on all sides.
  2. 2. Remove lamb and set aside. In the same pot, add chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until softened.
  3. 3. Add tomatoes, red wine, beef broth, oregano, and cinnamon. Stir well.
  4. 4. Return lamb to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
  5. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
