Instructions
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent.
Stir in the flour and cook for another minute.
Gradually add the chicken broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
Add the diced potatoes and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.
Stir in the diced ham and milk. Cook until heated through.
Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
