Main Ingredients
- 1 cup Saltfish soaked and flaked
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- ½ cup Water
- 1 Scotch bonnet pepper finely chopped
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Thyme
- ½ teaspoon Black pepper
- ½ cup Vegetable oil for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and water to make a batter.
2. Add flaked saltfish, chopped pepper, onion, garlic, thyme, and black pepper to the batter. Mix well.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
4. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides.
5. Remove fritters from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
