Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Lamb shanks
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 cups Onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoon Vindaloo paste
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Red wine vinegar
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, and ginger. Cook until onions are soft.
  3. Add vindaloo paste and cook for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add lamb shanks and brown on all sides.
  5. Pour in tomato puree, beef broth, brown sugar, and red wine vinegar. Stir well.
  6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours or until lamb is tender.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve hot.
