Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Lamb Shanks
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 cup Red Wine
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the lamb shanks on all sides, then remove and set aside.
  3. 3. In the same pot, add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook until softened.
  4. 4. Pour in the red wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. 5. Add the beef broth, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Return the lamb shanks to the pot.
  6. 6. Cover the pot and transfer it to the preheated oven. Cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and falling off the bone.
  7. 7. Serve the lamb shanks with the sauce from the pot. Enjoy!
