Mississippi Slugburger Recipe
A classic Mississippi delicacy, the Slugburger is a deep-fried burger patty made with a mix of beef and soy grits, served on a bun with mustard, pickles, and onions.

Burger Patty
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 cup Soy grits
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
To Serve
- 4 Hamburger buns
- 1 cup Pickles, sliced
- 1 cup Onions, chopped
- 1 cup Mustard
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, soy grits, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Fry the patties in the hot oil until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain the patties on paper towels.
Serve the patties on hamburger buns with pickles, onions, and mustard.
