Ingredients

  • 1 pint oysters shucked with liquid
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the oysters and their liquid. Cook until the edges of the oysters curl.
  3. 3. Stir in the milk and heavy cream. Heat until just about to boil, but do not let it boil.
  4. 4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. 5. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
