  • 1 lb Scallops large, dry
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt to taste
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper to taste

Instructions 

  1. Pat scallops dry with paper towels.
  2. Season scallops with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add scallops to the skillet, searing for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Add butter to the skillet and baste scallops for an additional minute.
  6. Remove scallops from skillet and serve immediately.
