Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork shoulder sliced thin
  • 4 Baguettes split lengthwise
  • 1 cup Pickled carrots and daikon
  • 1 cup Cucumber slices
  • ½ cup Fresh cilantro
  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Fish sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, sugar, and black pepper. Add pork and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Place marinated pork on a baking sheet and roast for 30-40 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  4. While pork is roasting, prepare baguettes by spreading mayonnaise on each side.
  5. Once pork is done, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice thinly.
  6. Assemble the banh mi by layering pork, pickled vegetables, cucumber slices, and cilantro in the baguettes.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
