Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 2 cups fish stock or clam juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 lb clams, scrubbed
  • 1 lb mussels, scrubbed and debearded
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb firm white fish (like halibut or cod), cut into chunks
  • 1 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. Cook until softened.
  2. Pour in white wine and bring to a simmer. Add crushed tomatoes, fish stock, oregano, and thyme. Simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. Add clams and mussels. Cover and cook until they begin to open, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add shrimp and fish. Simmer until shrimp is opaque and fish is cooked through, about 5 minutes more.
  5. Stir in parsley and serve hot.
