Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup grits
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add grits, reduce heat, and cook until thickened.
  2. Stir in cheese and butter into the grits. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add shrimp and paprika, cook until shrimp is pink.
  4. Serve shrimp over grits. Enjoy!
