  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
