Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pork shoulder cut into chunks
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 jalapeños seeded and chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup salsa verde
  • 1 bunch cilantro chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the pork shoulder chunks in the slow cooker.
  2. 2. Add the chicken broth, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped jalapeños, ground cumin, dried oregano, and salsa verde.
  3. 3. Stir everything together to combine.
  4. 4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.
  5. 5. Once cooked, shred the pork with two forks and stir in the chopped cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. 6. Serve hot with rice, tortillas, or your favorite sides.
