Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Beef stew meat cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup Barley
- 4 cups Beef broth
- 2 cups Water
- 1 cup Carrots chopped
- 1 cup Celery chopped
- 1 cup Onion chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon Dried basil
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
1. In a slow cooker, combine beef, barley, beef broth, water, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper.
2. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beef and barley are tender.
3. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed before serving.
