  • 1 piece Pork Butt about 8 pounds
  • ¼ cup Kosher Salt
  • ¼ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix together the salt, brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
  3. 3. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork butt.
  4. 4. Place the pork butt in the smoker and cook for about 8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
  5. 5. Remove the pork butt from the smoker and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before shredding.
