  • 1 lb Chicken Gizzards cleaned
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 quart Vegetable Oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. 1. Soak the cleaned chicken gizzards in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight in the fridge.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. 4. Dredge the soaked gizzards in the flour mixture, ensuring they are well-coated.
  5. 5. Fry the gizzards in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per batch.
  6. 6. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
