- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 eggs beaten
- 8 pieces chicken drumsticks or thighs
- 4 cups vegetable oil for frying
1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2. In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix with the buttermilk.
3. Dip each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk mixture, and then back in the flour mixture. Make sure each piece is well coated.
4. Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry the chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 10 minutes per side. Make sure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
6. Remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
